The PrimaVoce social initiative works to create accessible routes through which young girls from underserved communities in India can develop skills in elocution and gain confidence in their ability to communicate. The initiative combines a variety of approaches to create effective tools for girls to access. Through our PrimaVoce Training Content on YouTube, we help students explore the basics of public speaking, extempore speech, and tips on building confidence. Along with this audio-visual resource, we are also building a PrimaVoce Primer, an activity book designed to teach young readers how to construct their own speeches. In association with our NGO partners, we hope to bring this activity book into the hands of hundreds of girls, following which, we also bring to them the PrimaVoce Elocution Companion, an anthology of 10 poems in English and in Hindi for recitation practice.
PrimaVoce will also be conducting a fundraising campaign to give the girls access to expert-led workshops. Further, the PrimaVoce Practice Sessions will be conducted at our partner NGO(s) to give an opportunity to the girls to participate in interactive activities, mock speeches, and gain real-time feedback. Ultimately, the proof of the pudding will lie in The PrimaVoce Extempore Competition, a platform for the students to showcase their growth in confidence and public speaking.
We hope to create a movement of empowered young girls, confident to express their views.
